Criminal Mischief Suspect Apprehended

The Atlantic City Police Department arrested the suspect responsible for damaging windows to City Hall.

On October 8, 2023, at 12:05 AM, patrol officers responded to City Hall located in the 1300 block of Bacharach Boulevard in reference to damage done to windows.  Arriving officers found that several windows at the front entrance to the building had been shattered.  Paver stones were found inside the building.  Surveillance Center personnel viewed surveillance video of the suspect.  Officers searched the building ensuring that no one had entered and waited for the arrival of Public Works department personnel to board up the windows.

At approximately 1:00 PM, Officer Anthony Nastasi observed Tahmira Mackey near Pennsylvania and Atlantic Avenues.  Mackey matched the description of the suspect in the surveillance video and was arrested.  She was found to have several outstanding warrants.

 

ARRESTED:  Tahmira Mackey, 35, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Criminal mischief.

Mackey was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.  The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
